Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Belisle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Williams!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belisle throws a head kick that misses.
Belisle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A slapping body kick lands there for Belisle.
Belisle lands a head kick. Williams smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Matt Williams has been cut.
Williams wants to clinch up but Belisle keeps it at a distance.
Williams is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Belisle scores with a spinning back kick!
Williams checks a leg kick.
Steve Belisle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belisle with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Belisle swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Williams tries to roll over but Belisle keeps him under control.

Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belisle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Williams utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Williams wants to stand but Belisle is controlling the position.

Belisle is standing up over Williams. Williams looks to escape but Belisle dives into side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Belisle looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Williams with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Belisle is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Williams to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Belisle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Williams is desperately trying to improve his position but Belisle has a good base and remains in mount.

Williams holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Belisle tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Williams suckers Belisle into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Williams is now in Belisle's guard!

Steve Belisle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Belisle wants to hit a switch here but Williams passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Belisle there!
Williams can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Belisle is looking to escape.
Belisle is trying desperately to improve position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Williams wants to control but Belisle has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Belisle tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg.
Williams wants to free his trapped foot but Belisle is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Belisle tries to lock up and control but Williams gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Steve Belisle is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Belisle is looking to improve his position but Williams isn't that keen on the idea.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
