PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between jabar omer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergon Gergeo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that jabar omer has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily jabar omer seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
omer walks into a stiff left hand from Gergeo.

It looks like jabar omer has been cut.
Gergeo scores with a head kick.

omer takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Gergeo closes the distance and clinches.

Gergeo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gergeo tries a head kick but it misses.

Gergeo throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as omer stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Gergeo follows into mount!

omer seems to have got his legs back now.

omer is squirming around, avoiding Gergeo's attempts to control the action.
omer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Gergeo wants to control but instead omer manages to regain half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
omer looks like he's trying to stand up.
Gergeo throwing shots but omer is blocking nicely.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Gergeo trying to mount his opponent but omer defends it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gergeo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gergeo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with omer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gergeo prevents omer from improving his position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
omer is refusing to be controlled, as Gergeo sits in half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Despite being in the dominant position, Sergon Gergeo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gergeo throws a sloppy head kick and omer moves out of range easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Gergeo throws an absolute beast of a head kick! omer is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the ropes! Wow!
