Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pavlos Stathis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aruki Masura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stathis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Testament - Eyes of Wrath. The key to victory for Pavlos Stathis has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masura looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stathis is fending him off so far but Masura persists. Nope, Stathis circles away and we're back to standing.
Masura shoots in but no luck this time.
Stathis throws a right and a left that both miss.
A bone on bone clash there as Stathis blocks the leg kick.
Masura does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Masura.
Pavlos Stathis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aruki Masura.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stathis blocks the body kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Masura closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stathis circles away.

Stathis lands a left and a right that send Masura crashing to the mat, dazed. Stathis thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Aruki Masura has been cut.
Stathis blocks a head kick by Masura.
Masura tries to clinch up but Stathis circles away and keeps his distance.
Masura pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Stathis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Stathis slips under a jab from Masura.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Masura throws a head kick that misses.
Masura misses with a combination
and Stathis counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Masura to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Stathis!
