Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ico Hakuza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Ricardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ico Hakuza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose Ricardo!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hakuza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Poor strikes thrown by Hakuza there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Ricardo is working to get back to half guard.
Hakuza tries to control but Ricardo wriggling away.
Ricardo tries to reverse the position but Hakuza maintains control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hakuza trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ricardo swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Ricardo is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hakuza misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ricardo is looking to improve his position but Hakuza isn't that keen on the idea.
Hakuza is stalling here but it's allowed Ricardo to get half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hakuza keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hakuza blocks a low kick nicely.
Ricardo moves in looking to clinch but Hakuza pushes him off.
Hakuza fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ricardo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hakuza can't break the clinch.
Ricardo misses with a knee to the head.

Ricardo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hakuza shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ricardo pinned against the cage. Ricardo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ricardo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hakuza keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hakuza will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ico Hakuza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hakuza dives in and grabs Ricardo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ricardo pushes down on Hakuza's head and hops out.
Hakuza is breathing heavily.
Ricardo shoots for a double leg takedown but Hakuza sprawls well. He's pushed Ricardo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hakuza is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ricardo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ricardo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ricardo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hakuza paws at him with a jab and circles away.
No joy there for Ricardo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ricardo misses with a body kick.
Ricardo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ricardo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hakuza keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ricardo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hakuza does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Hakuza trying to control from the bottom.

Ricardo maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hakuza could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Ricardo has cracked it and Hakuza is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Ricardo!
