Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Willis Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bezerra da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willis Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bezerra da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Davis sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Silva is thwarting Davis's attempts to control the position.
Silva is keen to just control but Davis is a slippery customer.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Davis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Davis pushes Silva off and gets back to his feet.
Davis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Silva.
Davis moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.
Silva throws a body punch but Davis moves out of range.
Davis fails with the takedown
and Silva counters with a shoot takedown. Davis fights it but they end up in guard.
Davis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Davis has wrist control.

Silva won't allow Davis to get back to his feet.
Davis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Silva controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Davis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Davis is breathing heavily.

so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Davis's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Davis's calf.
Davis tries to clinch but Silva moves away
and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Davis's guard now.
Silva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Silva's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bezerra da Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willis Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Silva swings around for an armbar but Davis sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Silva's guard.
And that's the end of the fight!
Bezerra da Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Silva winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
