Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cote IV looks for a takedown but JOE sprawls well.
Cote IV changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. JOE tries to avoid it but Cote IV manages to keep hold of a leg and drag JOE to the ground. JOE escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cote IV scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Cote IV throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Cote IV lands a decent elbow from side control.
Cote IV has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Cote IV trying to control but JOE is having none of it.
Cote IV throwing strikes here but JOE is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Cote IV tries to control but JOE wriggling away.
Cote IV is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. JOE can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

JOE is trying to stand.
Cote IV unloads with some shots from mount but JOE bucks and avoids them well.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Cote IV working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. JOE turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Cote IV off and cradles JOE's limp body as Cote IV celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Andrei Cote IV!
