Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Niko Fairtex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chrome Skull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Skull fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fairtex sprawls well initially but Skull persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fairtex is pressing down on Skull's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Skull lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Skull chips away with some ground and pound.
Fairtex wants to stand and escape but Skull is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Skull wants to control from the top but Fairtex keeps moving.
Skull stops Fairtex from standing up.

Skull gets to his feet - Fairtex follows without any prompting.
Fairtex tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Skull paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fairtex has his takedown stuffed

and Skull counters with a shoot takedown. Fairtex fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Skull is working Fairtex over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Fairtex knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Skull on the ground.

Skull working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Fairtex is breathing heavily.
Fairtex tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Fairtex takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Fairtex really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fairtex is being controlled here.
Skull scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Fairtex to see if he's OK.
Fairtex is pushing Skull's head away, looking to escape. Skull manages to hold on to the position though.
Skull lands an elbow.
Fairtex taking punishment in the form of punches.
Fairtex is trying to get back to his feet.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Skull connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Fairtex some visible discomfort.

Skull decides to stand back up.
Fairtex clinches but Skull breaks the clinch

and Skull counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fairtex won't be happy with that.
Fairtex on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Fairtex is trying to buck Skull off.
Fairtex is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Skull is chipping away with strikes.

Skull stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Fairtex gets caught flat footed, as Skull shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Skull postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Skull lands a couple of digs.
Skull distracts Fairtex with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Skull has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Fairtex can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Skull controls the pace.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
I looks like Skull might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Skull cracks Fairtex with a solid left hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chrome Skull dominated that round.
That's time! Fairtex's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Skull blocks a head kick by Fairtex.
Fairtex plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Skull closes the distance and clinches.

Skull manages to break the clinch.

Skull clinches up with Fairtex and pushes him back against the cage.
Fairtex jumps guard but Skull stands there with Fairtex around his waist. Fairtex gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Skull lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Fairtex backwards.

Skull breaks the clinch.

Skull shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Skull is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Fairtex is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
