The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liege swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Liege. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva tries to clinch there but Liege circles away.

Silva feints and then cracks Liege's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Liege down.

Liege drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
