The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pace drives through and clinches with Wiggins against the cage.
Wiggins wants to stall.
Wiggins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pace prevents Wiggins from breaking the clinch.
Wiggins jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pace walks away with a smile on his face. Wiggins gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Wiggins shoots in but no luck this time.
Pace moves in looking to clinch but Wiggins pushes him off.
Wiggins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pace's waist but Pace gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wiggins off to one side.
Charlie Pace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Wiggins.
Pace fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pace tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wiggins paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Wiggins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pace napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Wiggins has control of Pace's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pace regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Wiggins won't let Pace get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pace is wriggling around trying to escape.
Pace tries to hold on but Wiggins postures up.
Pace is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Pace sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Wiggins postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pace to stand up.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Wiggins shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pace manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Wiggins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wiggins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wiggins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pace swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pace tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wiggins swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Wiggins does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Wiggins closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
