And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Smeer!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smeer feints and as Tooreal raises his hands in defense, Smeer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Smeer wants to control from the top but Tooreal keeps moving.

Smeer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Smeer trying to control but Tooreal is working from the bottom.
Tooreal controls Smeer momentarily but Smeer frees himself.
Smeer not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Smeer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smeer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Smeer trying to control but Tooreal is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Smeer shoots in and drives through. Tooreal sprawls well.

Smeer clinches.
Smeer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tooreal walks away with a smile on his face. Smeer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Smeer fails to land the takedown.
Dwayne Tooreal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Smeer.
Tooreal connects with a body shot.
Smeer looks gassed!
Tooreal shoots in for a double leg but Smeer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Smeer misses with a takedown attempt
and Tooreal counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Smeer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Frank Smeer has been cut.

Tooreal throws a nice looking combination but Smeer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smeer darts in trying to clinch
and Tooreal counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Smeer thinking.

Tooreal lands a left and a right that send Smeer crashing to the mat, dazed. Tooreal thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Tooreal lands with a cross.

Smeer is rocked!
Tooreal closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Smeer out cold! Smeer corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
