Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between RIZZLA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Acton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Acton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, RIZZLA !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Acton!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
shoots in looking for a takedown. Acton tries to sprawl out of it but keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Acton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
RIZZLA seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Acton regains full guard. Nicely done.
won't allow Acton to sweep him here.
trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
stays in close to Acton's body and controls the position.
throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Acton is looking for a triangle but pushes his legs off easily.
won't allow Acton to sweep him here.
wants to control from the top but Acton keeps moving.
thows a big elbow that misses.

decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Acton, up you get!

shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Acton as he avoids it easily.

gets caught flat footed, as Acton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Acton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
is breathing heavily.

looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Acton is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Acton is pushing down on 's leg trying to pass to half guard. is fighting to maintain full guard but Acton has managed to sneak the leg through.
Acton passes to full mount!

Acton working for a guillotine from mount but is in no mood to give up.
is looking to improve his position but Acton isn't that keen on the idea.

Acton working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

is wriggling around trying to escape.
Acton sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

wants to control but Acton is keeping busy.

Acton throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

is trying to maintain the position but Acton is very close to passing his half guard.
is in trouble now - Acton has advanced to mount!
Acton can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as is looking to escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
wants to control but Acton passes into side.
is trying to improve his position.
trying to control but Acton flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
staying busy and making it hard for Acton to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Joe Acton will probably get the nod.
That's time! 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Acton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Acton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Acton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Acton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Acton loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

looking for a guillotine here but Acton defends easily.
Acton wants to control from the top but keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Acton defends it easily.
preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
with a lazy takedown attempt

and Acton counters with a nice double leg into side control. won't be happy with that.
wants to control but Acton postures up.

Acton is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. looks calm but he's in trouble here. Acton gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Acton lets go of the hold and can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Joe Acton!
