Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Saint Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabino Barrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saint Pierre has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Steven Saint Pierre has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrera missing with a left hand there. Saint Pierre was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Barrera misses with the combination.
Barrera throws a lazy right hand but Saint Pierre sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Barrera misses with a looping left.
Saint Pierre misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Saint Pierre steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Barrera.
Barrera is looking to clinch but Saint Pierre is avoiding it.
Barrera clinches up with Saint Pierre and pushes him back against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Barrera.
Barrera prevents Saint Pierre from breaking the clinch.
Saint Pierre is breathing heavily.
Saint Pierre tries to pull guard but Barrera holds him up against the cage and eventually Saint Pierre drops back down to his feet.
Barrera's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Barrera thuds his right hand into Saint Pierre's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Steven Saint Pierre has been cut.
Barrera circles away from the clinch attempt
and Barrera cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saint Pierre drops his hands momentarily. Barrera doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Saint Pierre staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Saint Pierre doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gabino Barrera!
