The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt is looking to clinch.
Schmidt throws a right and a left that both miss.

Jovanovitch gets a clinch.
Jovanovitch utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Schmidt has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Jovanovitch tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Schmidt avoids it.
Schmidt working hard to break the clinch.
Jovanovitch has Schmidt pressed against the cage, preventing Schmidt from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Schmidt tries to circle away but Jovanovitch has him pinned against the cage.
Schmidt fails to pull guard.
A right hand to the body from Schmidt.
Schmidt looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Schmidt jumps guard but Jovanovitch stands there with Schmidt around his waist. Schmidt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Schmidt lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Schmidt is trying to break the clinch but Jovanovitch is controlling him.
Schmidt fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Jovanovitch using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Schmidt has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jovanovitch misses with a hook to the ribs.

Schmidt tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Schmidt goes for a takedown attempt but Jovanovitch pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Schmidt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Schmidt lands with a cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jovanovitch moves forwards but Schmidt connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jovanovitch misses with a body shot.
Jovanovitch seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Schmidt shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Jovanovitch is backing up but Schmidt catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Jovanovitch covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Schmidt Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
