Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shoryu Ken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pano Chudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shoryu Ken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pano Chudo!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ken tries to clinch up but Chudo circles away and keeps his distance.
Chudo throws an overhand right that lands on Ken's shoulder, as Ken tries to avoid the shot.
Chudo avoids the body shot from Ken.
Chudo swings for the body but Ken moves out of range.
Chudo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ken's head backwards.
Ken tries to clinch but Chudo moves out of range.
Chudo misses with a few strikes there.
Chudo misses with a shot to the body
and Ken counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ken looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Chudo takes a swing at Ken's ribcage but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Ken counters with a nice body shot.
Chudo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Chudo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Chudo counters with a nice uppercut.

Ken is looking to wear down Chudo with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Ken avoids the body shot from Chudo.

and Chudo counters by clinching up.
Chudo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ken misses with an elbow over the top.
Chudo lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Ken.

Ken is looking to control Chudo's arms but Chudo gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ken has his back to the cage.

Chudo is struggling to control the position.
Ken tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Chudo avoids it.

Ken jumps guard but Chudo stands there with Ken around his waist. Ken gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Chudo is trying to break the clinch but Ken is controlling him.

Chudo cracks Ken with a nice body shot.

Chudo dodges an elbow strike from Ken.
Ken tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shoryu Ken. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ken is working Chudo over against the cage.
Chudo blocks the elbow strike.
Chudo lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ken backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Chudo manages to break the clinch.
Ken throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chudo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ken takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Chudo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Chudo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pano Chudo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chudo throws a predictable looking body shot
and Ken counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ken misses with a body shot
and Chudo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ken lands a nice looking body shot.
Chudo throws a sloppy body shot
and Ken counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Chudo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ken manages to avoid it.
Chudo misses with a double jab.
Chudo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ken.

A punch lands to the side of Ken 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Chudo thuds his right hand into Ken's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Chudo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Chudo missing with a left hand there. Ken was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Chudo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Pano Chudo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chudo closes the distance but Ken moves to the side

and Ken counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ken.
Ken fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Chudo lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ken or not.
Ken comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Chudo blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Chudo lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Ken lands a nice knee to the body.
Ken tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Chudo smiles and moves away.
Chudo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ken had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Ken digs a good hook to Chudo's body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Chudo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Ken moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pano Chudo dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ken tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chudo was well out of range. Poor timing from Ken.

Ken jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chudo walks away with a smile on his face. Ken gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The crowd are getting on Chudo's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Pano Chudo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Chudo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ken has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chudo has managed to get both his arms back between Ken's legs - danger averted.
Chudo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ken is proving hard to escape from.
Ken can't keep his opponent in guard - Chudo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ken tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Chudo has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ken is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ken is working hard here to advance position.
Chudo looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ken working to try and regain half guard.
Chudo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ken is in all sorts of trouble here.
Ken throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ken tries to reverse the position but Chudo maintains control.
Ken manages to regain half guard. Good work.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Shoryu Ken has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pano Chudo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

I've got Chudo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
