The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCartney moves out of range of the body kick from Blue.
Blue tries to clinch but McCartney moves out of range.
Blue throws a series of punches but McCartney moves out of range.
McCartney tries to score a power double leg takedown but Blue sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McCartney somewhat.

McCartney shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Blue napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McCartney goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Blue has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for McCartney but great work by Blue.
Blue tries to stand but McCartney is controlling his head.
McCartney tries to buck Blue off but Blue is having none of it.

Blue is thwarting McCartney's attempts to control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Blue is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, McCartney manages to get to full guard.

Blue decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McCartney, up you get!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Blue looks to land a combination but McCartney avoids it well.
McCartney should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Blue gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
McCartney advances position into side control!
Blue is trying to buck McCartney off.

McCartney is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Blue looks calm but he's in trouble here. McCartney gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Blue is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! McCartney lets go of the hold and Blue can pop his arm back in it's socket.
