The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jodoin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jodoin uses his free foot to push down on Polo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Polo.
Jodoin with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Jodoin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Polo's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jodoin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Polo is looking for a sweep. Jodoin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jodoin passes the guard and advances to mount!

Polo is desperately trying to improve his position but Jodoin has a good base and remains in mount.
Jodoin wants to finish this one by submission but Polo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jodoin.
Jodoin looking to secure an arm triangle but Polo defends it well.
Polo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Polo has left one of his arms exposed and Jodoin doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Polo screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
