The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ambok shoots in and drives through. Sobotka sprawls well.
Sobotka throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ambok stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mateusz Sobotka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ambok steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sobotka. That one must have hurt.
Ambok tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sobotka sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ambok somewhat.
A head kick misses from Sobotka.
Ambok throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sobotka's waist but Sobotka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ambok off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JImmy Ambok. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A head kick by Sobotka - that's a beauty! Ambok is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Sobotka can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
