Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joan Moze!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moze misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Debow displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Moze.

Debow drives through with a takedown into guard.
Debow seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Moze had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Debow defends it easily.
Moze keeping moving, preventing Debow from controlling successfully.

Debow has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Moze is proving hard to escape from.

Debow gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Debow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moze circles away quickly and effectively.
Moze misses with a takedown attempt

and Debow counters with a takedown into side control.
Kevin Debow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joan Moze.
You can see the frustration on Moze's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Debow wants to control but Moze is keeping him busy.

Debow wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Moze, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moze is looking to regain half guard here but Debow keeps moving and retains side control.

Moze tries for a takedown but Debow circles away easily

and Debow counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Debow gets to his feet. Moze looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Moze avoids the head kick by Debow.
A thudding body kick lands there by Debow!
Debow is looking to clinch.

Debow drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Debow decides to stand up, so the ref orders Moze to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Debow takes the fight into the clinch.
Debow lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Moze is trying to break free.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moze is looking to break free of the clinch but Debow has double underhooks.

Moze has Debow pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Debow manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Debow lands with a short shot to the head.

Debow has picked Moze up - he's going for a ride! Debow dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Debow perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Debow is looking to take a break and control but Moze is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Moze makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Moze.
Kevin Debow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Debow wanted to stand there but Moze had control of the position.

Debow gets to his feet. Moze looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Debow moves into the clinch.

Debow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Moze tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Debow paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Debow holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Debow with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Debow lands a left hand.
Moze fails to pull guard.
Kevin Debow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joan Moze.
Moze is looking to control Debow's arms but Debow gets an underhook and turns him. Now Moze has his back to the cage.
Debow drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Moze gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Debow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Moze gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Moze has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Debow can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's time! Debow's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Debow closes the distance and clinches.
Moze is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Debow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Debow tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Debow is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Moze has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Moze is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Debow is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Moze takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Debow wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Debow on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Debow tries to get out of the position.
Debow stops Moze from passing to mount.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Moze swings around for an armbar but Debow sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Moze's guard.
Debow trying to control but Moze is working from the bottom.
Moze wants to control the position but Debow says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
It looks like Debow is going to stand back up.
Debow tries to pass to full mount but Moze defends it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moze is looking for a sweep. Debow is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Debow is trying to control. Moze wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Moze wants to improve his position but Debow is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Debow blocks the strikes from Moze.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Debow gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Debow tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Debow gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Moze regains guard.
Moze tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Debow wants to stand but Moze is controlling his posture from full guard.
Joan Moze has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kevin Debow is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Debow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moze on the ground.
Debow wants to pass the guard but Moze is keeping the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Joan Moze.
Well Debow has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
