Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between BoBo Smilths (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Norman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norman has chosen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhbyS1SuR7c as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, BoBo Smilths!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Smilths changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Norman fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Smilths changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Norman tries to avoid it but Smilths manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Norman to the ground. Norman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Norman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Smilths stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Norman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Norman pulls Smilths in close to prevent any damage.
Smilths slips nicely into half guard.
Norman is looking to improve his position.
Norman wants to get back to his feet.

Smilths is trying to control the action in half guard but Norman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Norman tries to kick Smilths off but Smilths keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Norman is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Smilths sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Smilths thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Smilths moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Norman has worked his arm free - good work by Norman!
Norman is trying to control Smilths's posture but Smilths avoids it.
Smilths passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Norman!

Smilths throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Norman tries to hold on but Smilths postures up.
Smilths looking to ground and pound but Norman is blocking nicely.
Norman avoids a series of strikes thrown by Smilths.
Norman tries to reverse the position but Smilths maintains control.

Smilths has control of Norman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Norman regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Norman gets back to half guard.
Norman looks gassed!
Smilths tries to pass to full mount but Norman defends it.
Smilths perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Norman is pressing down on Smilths's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Smilths trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Smilths wants to control from the top but Norman keeps moving.
Norman wants to stand but Smilths is controlling the position.
Smilths passes Norman's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Norman is trying to maintain the position but Smilths is very close to passing his half guard.
Smilths not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Norman won't allow Smilths to pass to mount.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Norman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Smilths feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Smilths seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Norman for as long as he can get away with.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Poor strikes thrown by Smilths there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Smilths cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Smilths fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Norman, pushing him back against the cage.
Norman tries for a takedown. No joy.
BoBo Smilths has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zach Norman.

Norman closes the distance and clinches up with Smilths, looking for a takedown. Norman pushes Smilths against the cage but Smilths circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Smilths decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Norman is staying active underneath Smilths, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Smilths bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Smilths tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Smilths misses with the ground and pound.
Smilths is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Norman's shoulder. That is not cool.
Norman dodges the ground and pound from Smilths.
Smilths scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Norman to see if he's OK.

Smilths closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Norman did well to prevent Smilths getting side control.

Smilths is pressing down on Norman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Norman is holding on for now.
Norman is looking for a sweep. Smilths is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Smilths throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Smilths escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Norman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Smilths looking for a guillotine here but Norman defends easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Smilths escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Norman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Norman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smilths has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Norman has managed to get both his arms back between Smilths's legs - danger averted.
BoBo Smilths is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Norman gets to his feet. Smilths looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Norman throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Zach Norman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Smilths misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Norman throws a body punch but Smilths moves out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
BoBo Smilths showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Smilths, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
