Dignam comes into the arena with Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That Feeds blaring out of the sound system. James Whittaker is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whittaker wants to clinch up but Dignam keeps it at a distance.
Whittaker doesn't manage to clinch there - Dignam circles away.
Dignam keeps the fight on the outside.
Dignam misses the shot to the body.
Dignam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dignam lands a slapping body shot.
Whittaker looks gassed!
Whittaker is looking to clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dignam moves into range and connects with a jab.
Dignam cracks Whittaker with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Whittaker tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Dignam pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Whittaker is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
