Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Clark Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gus Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Jackson.
Donk. Jackson catches Marshall right on the button with a cross.
Marshall steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jackson.

Jackson clinches.
Jackson taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Jackson as the two fighters clinch.
Marshall goes for a takedown attempt but Jackson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Marshall avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Jackson misses the shot to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Marshall.
Jackson scores with a nice head shot.

Jackson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Marshall sprawling to the canvas! Marshall rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jackson finish him?!


Marshall is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson finds Marshall's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Marshall flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Jackson lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Marshall will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gus Jackson!
