Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Pizetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sky Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pizetti comes to the cage accompanied by That's Amore. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Sky Bishop enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Pizetti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sky Bishop!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Bishop stalks Pizetti and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pizetti's face. Pizetti staggers backwards, shaken.

Pizetti scores a takedown into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pizetti trying to control but Bishop is having none of it.
Pizetti controlling the pace for now.
Pizetti thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pizetti controlling the position easily from mount.
Pizetti tries to control but Bishop wriggling away.
Pizetti takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Pizetti has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Pizetti wants to control the pace but Bishop is squirming around nicely.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Frank Pizetti just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Bishop swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bishop looks to land a combination but Pizetti avoids it well.
Pizetti tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bishop sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pizetti somewhat.
Bishop throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bishop throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bishop swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Bishop scores a takedown into full mount!
Bishop controlling the pace for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pizetti regains half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pizetti wants to get back to full guard but Bishop has passed into side control.
Bishop controlling from mount.
Bishop tries to control but Pizetti wriggling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sky Bishop dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bishop uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Pizetti slips a jab and a cross from Bishop.
Pizetti takes a swing at Bishop's ribcage but misses.

Bishop changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pizetti looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pizetti prevents Bishop from moving into mount.
Bishop wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pizetti keeps working.
Pizetti is trying to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pizetti is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bishop is controlling him well.
Pizetti can't do much from the bottom here.
Pizetti is looking for a sweep.
Bishop is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Pizetti will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pizetti shoots in but Bishop avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bishop scores with a one two! Pizetti had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Bishop throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Bishop lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Pizetti goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bishop prevents it.
Bishop wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Pizetti's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pizetti avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bishop rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pizetti moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bishop misses with the combination.
Bishop scores with a punch to the head.

Pizetti scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Pizetti looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bishop avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pizetti.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bishop can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bishop is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bishop really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pizetti. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pizetti is looking to stall here but Bishop recovers full guard.
Pizetti stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bishop swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pizetti trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bishop's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sky Bishop showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Pizetti dodges the punch combination from Bishop.

Bishop has closed the distance and engaged Pizetti in a clinch.
Pizetti working hard to break the clinch.
Bishop wants to get back to striking at distance but Pizetti won't allow it.
Pizetti tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pizetti tries for a takedown but Bishop manages to get underhooks.
Bishop looking to throw knees to the head but Pizetti is blocking nicely.
Pizetti stalling in the clinch but Bishop improves position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pizetti tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Pizetti wants to get back to striking at distance but Bishop won't allow it.
Bishop is pushing Pizetti up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Bishop trying to control the position from guard on top but Pizetti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pizetti has Bishop pulled in close to control his posture.

Pizetti pushes Bishop off and gets back to his feet.
Bishop moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Sky Bishop is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bishop goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
A lazy left from Bishop finds it's target.
Pizetti has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pizetti there as he acknowledges the shot.
Bishop throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pizetti on the side of the head.
Bishop throws a series of punches but Pizetti avoids them all with ease.
Bishop leaves Pizetti with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bishop throws a right hand that Pizetti ducks under and follows up with a left that Pizetti also avoids with ease.
Bishop tries to bum rush Pizetti with a series of wild strikes but Pizetti uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Bishop misses with a two punch combination.
Bishop moves into range and connects with a jab.
Pizetti tries a head kick but it misses.
Bishop throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Pizetti gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pizetti is trying to keep Bishop in close.

Bishop is stalling in the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sky Bishop comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Bishop winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
