The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez avoids the head kick by One.
Gomez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
One tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gomez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Gomez tries to move to mount but One blocks the move with his legs.
Gomez wants to lay and pray for a moment but One keeps working.
Gomez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because One is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Gomez slows the pace down.
One wants to control but Gomez postures up.
One tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gomez creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Gomez is looking to take a break and control but One is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

One manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Gomez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
