The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lusk takes a swing at Miller's ribcage but misses.
Miller throws the left hand but Lusk avoids the punch easily.
Miller misses the shot to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Miller. That snapped Lusk's head back.
Miller uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lusk.
Miller lands a nice hook to Lusk's body. Lusk takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Miller connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lusk momentarily.
Miller throws a low kick but Lusk avoids it.
Miller throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lusk on the side of the head.
Lusk attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Miller scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Miller stuffs the takedown attempt from Lusk. Lusk gets slowly back to his feet.

Lusk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Miller tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Miller is looking to stand up but Lusk isn't so interested in that idea.
Miller controls Lusk momentarily but Lusk frees himself.
Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lusk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miller moves away.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Miller!
Miller punishes Lusk's body with a nice straight punch.
Miller defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lusk.
Lusk looks gassed!

Lusk wants to free his trapped foot but Miller is holding on for dear life with his legs.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Miller pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Miller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jackson Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Lusk.
Miller walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lusk checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Lusk shoots in looking for a takedown. Miller tries to sprawl out of it but Lusk keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lusk throws a body punch but Miller moves out of range.
Lusk throws a leg kick but Miller sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Miller blocks a low kick nicely.

Lusk looks up at the clock. Bad move! Miller lands a right hand from hell, dropping Lusk. Miller pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
