The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Agostinho avoids the head kick by Machulda.
Agostinho closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Machulda shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Agostinho manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Agostinho is on top in guard.

Machulda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Agostinho gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Machulda will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Machulda is breathing heavily.
Machulda shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Agostinho defends it nicely.
Machulda shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Agostinho as he jumps to the side.

Machulda misses with a double jab
and Agostinho counters with a nice low kick that buckles Machulda's knee momentarily.
Machulda chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Agostinho can pounce on him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Agostinho drops Machulda with a beautiful combination! Machulda stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Agostinho is looking for the KO!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Agostinho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Machulda circles away quickly and effectively.
Agostinho wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Machulda seems to have got his legs back now.

Agostinho lands a left and a right that send Machulda crashing to the mat, dazed. Agostinho thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Agostinho connects with a solid leg kick.
Agostinho drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Machulda right on the button. Machulda goes down! Agostinho follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Agostinho gets the win via TKO!
