Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rivera comes to the cage accompanied by Run Away. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Brewer.
Rivera does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Rivera lands a with a good body shot.

Brewer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brewer lands in his opponent's guard.
Brewer content to stall in guard here.
Brewer trying to control the position from guard on top but Rivera is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rivera wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brewer advances to half guard.
Brewer is trying to control. Rivera wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Brewer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Rivera is defending against the submission attempts here by Brewer.
Rivera is looking to control Brewer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rivera avoid being mounted?

Rivera is not content to let Brewer control the position.
Brewer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rivera kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Brewer shoots in but Rivera avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Brewer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Brewer is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Brewer taking a break here but Rivera is having none of it and regains half guard.
Brewer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rivera keeps working.

Brewer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Brewer seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Rivera shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Brewer is backing up but Rivera catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Brewer covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Rivera Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
