Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ray Jones Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nyquil Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Cant be touched. Salazar comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Enter Sandman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Salazar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones Jr scores with a hook.

Jones Jr gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Salazar to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jones Jr is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones Jr would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Salazar takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Salazar takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.


It looks like Nyquil Salazar has been cut.
Jones Jr takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A lazy left from Jones Jr finds it's target.
Jones Jr lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Salazar at a distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Salazar takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jones Jr cracks a nice hook into Salazar's ribs.
Salazar walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jones Jr scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Salazar doesn't seem bothered though.
The crowd cheers as Jones Jr lands an impressive looking overhand right. Salazar doesn't seem phased though.
Jones Jr bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Salazar's head.
Jones Jr scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Salazar closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Salazar is breathing heavily.
Jones Jr lands a glancing blow to the side of Salazar's head.


Salazar is rocked!

Jones Jr fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Salazar to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Salazar looks to clinch but Jones Jr throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Salazar taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Ray Jones Jr!
