Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gegard Mocassins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melanie Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Powers's choice of entrance music: "The Way of the Fist" Five Finger Death Punch. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Powers is looking to clinch but Mocassins is avoiding it.
Powers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mocassins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Powers was covering up waiting for the punch and Mocassins finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mocassins trying to control but Powers is working from the bottom.

Powers trying to keep a closed guard but Mocassins is proving a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mocassins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Powers is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mocassins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mocassins has escaped and now he's on top!
