The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veloso II shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tanaka defends it nicely.
Tanaka slaps away a takedown attempt from Veloso II, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Veloso II shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tanaka sprawls well. Tanaka wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Veloso II gets slowly back to his feet.
Yoshihiro Tanaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Douglas Veloso II.
