Parekh has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Steve Borden could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sal Parekh's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Borden shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Parekh looks gassed!
Borden not doing much here.
Borden working over Parekh with some ground and pound. Parekh looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Borden takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Parekh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Borden. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Borden is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Borden seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Borden stands up out of the half guard.

Borden closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Parekh thows a big elbow that misses.
