And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stewart Franks!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franks misses with a body kick.
Franks is looking to clinch but Redding is avoiding it.
No joy there for Redding, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Franks wants to clinch.
Franks swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Franks closes the distance and clinches.

Redding has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Franks clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Redding lands a shot to the head.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Redding's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Franks ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Redding moves away.
Redding tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Franks counters with an inside leg kick.
Redding has his takedown stuffed

and Franks decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Redding's guard.
Franks lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Redding lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Franks!
Redding tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Redding's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Redding will probably get the nod.

Redding escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Franks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Stewart Franks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Redding keeps the fight on the outside.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Franks cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Stewart Franks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Franks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
