The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoy closes the distance and clinches up with Sanderson, looking for a takedown. Hoy pushes Sanderson against the cage but Sanderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hoy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hoy sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Sanderson is trying to keep Hoy in close.
Hoy drops back looking for a leg! Sanderson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sanderson manages to kick Hoy off! Hoy jumps back into Sanderson's guard.
Sanderson keeping moving, preventing Hoy from controlling successfully.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sanderson holds on and takes a little breather.

Sanderson wants to control the position but Hoy says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hoy working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Hoy trying to control the action but Sanderson is working from the bottom.
Hoy is looking for a kimura but Sanderson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hoy to get the leverage.
Hoy is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Sanderson!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanderson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Hoy looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Sanderson taps!
