Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcio Tarpim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and eric buto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcio Tarpim had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. On his way into the cage it seems that Marcio Tarpim has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Marcio Tarpim seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarpim throws a head kick but buto moves out of range.
Tarpim looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

No joy there for buto, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tarpim tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tarpim has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

buto had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tarpim is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. buto Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tarpim's back instead.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
