The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hardstaff gets a clinch.
Woodhead looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Woodhead tries for a takedown. No joy.
Woodhead tries for a takedown but Hardstaff manages to get underhooks.
Hardstaff is pressed up against the cage. Woodhead has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hardstaff down to the mat. Hardstaff avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Faulton Hardstaff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Woodhead.

Hardstaff scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hardstaff is looking to take a break and control but Woodhead is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hardstaff wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Woodhead, who protects the arm well.
Woodhead is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hardstaff has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Hardstaff stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Hardstaff working for a guillotine from mount but Woodhead is in no mood to give up.
The referee warns Woodhead that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Woodhead is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Woodhead is in a horrible position here. Hardstaff smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Hardstaff cracks Woodhead with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Hardstaff wants to control the pace but Woodhead is squirming around nicely.
