The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power lands with a cross.
Jenkins throws a nice looking combination but Power bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Power lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Power.
Jenkins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Power moves out of range of the leg kick from Jenkins.

Power drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Power lands a few punches from side control.

Power stands up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Power scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Power throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jenkins stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Power seems to be looking for submissions.

Power stands up out of the half guard.

Power closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jenkins to the mat! Jenkins manages to get full guard.

Power is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jenkins can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Power connects with a nice short shot to Jenkins's temple.

Power wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jenkins keeps working.

Jenkins pushes Power off looking to stand but Power dives back in and keeps control.

Power is trying to work for a kimura but Jenkins is defending well.
Jenkins is trying to maintain the position but Power is very close to passing his half guard.
Jenkins is looking for a sweep. Power is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jenkins flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Power is looking for a kimura but Jenkins is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Power to get the leverage.
Power wants to free his trapped foot but Jenkins is holding on for dear life with his legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jenkins landing rabbit punches to the side of Power's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Power looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Jenkins has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Power. Oh but Jenkins has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Power goes limp - he's gone! Jenkins jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
