The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cabreros.
Pierre keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cabreros takes a swing at Pierre's ribcage but misses.
Cabreros stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cabreros wants it to stay on the feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Pierre feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cabreros wants to get up but he can't break Pierre's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Cabreros got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pierre has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cabreros has managed to get both his arms back between Pierre's legs - danger averted.

That was a close second round but I would say that Caleb Cabreros will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Caleb Cabreros.
