Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nate Garcia looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harper shoots in looking for a takedown. Garcia tries to sprawl out of it but Harper keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Garcia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Garcia doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Harper counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Garcia!

Harper is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Garcia can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harper looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Garcia tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Garcia looks gassed!

Harper working for a guillotine from mount but Garcia is in no mood to give up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harper is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Garcia is surviving well by controlling Harper's body position as best he can.
Garcia is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Harper is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Garcia has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Garcia!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Harper has control of Garcia's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Garcia regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Harper goes for an armbar but Garcia turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Garcia.

Garcia drops back looking for a leg! Harper is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harper manages to kick Garcia off! Garcia jumps back into Harper's guard.
Garcia wants to control from the top but Harper keeps moving.

The fighters are battling for position here. Harper manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Harper escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Garcia gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Harper is looking for a triangle but Garcia pushes his legs off easily.

Harper lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Garcia!
Harper moves to back control.

Harper looking to break Garcia's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Garcia remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Harper will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Garcia won't enjoy being in this position. Harper looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Garcia is tapping - it's over boys! Harper picks up the submission victory!
