Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dearman Poppdog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Trevally (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poppdog comes to the cage accompanied by LOK - Hur många grisar är vi nu?. Trevally has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gavin Trevally is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poppdog gets the takedown into side control.
Trevally throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Trevally can't do much from the bottom here.

Poppdog goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Trevally has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Poppdog but great work by Trevally.

Poppdog is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Trevally is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Trevally holds on and takes a little breather.
Poppdog looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Poppdog knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trevally on the ground.

Poppdog has gone for a leg lock! Trevally slips out almost immediately though and dives into Poppdog's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Poppdog is breathing heavily.
Trevally lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Poppdog!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poppdog is looking to get to half guard.

Trevally is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Poppdog scores with a couple of nice shots.

Poppdog wants to take a breather but Trevally is having none of it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Poppdog in particular looking to stall.
Trevally is looking to control Poppdog's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Trevally avoid being mounted?

Poppdog closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Poppdog lands in his opponent's guard.

Trevally is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Trevally shoots in but no luck this time.
Trevally keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dearman Poppdog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Poppdog shoots in but Trevally avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Poppdog instigates a clinch.
Poppdog stops a takedown attempt from Trevally.
Trevally is working for takedown but Poppdog is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dearman Poppdog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gavin Trevally.
Trevally jumps guard but Poppdog stands there with Trevally around his waist. Trevally gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Trevally tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Trevally tries to pull guard but Poppdog holds him up against the cage and eventually Trevally drops back down to his feet.
Trevally tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Poppdog just stands there and leans against the cage.

Poppdog wants to control from the top but Trevally keeps moving.
Poppdog might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Trevally utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Poppdog stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trevally swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trevally is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Poppdog frees his head nicely. Oh but Trevally has switched to an armbar! Poppdog is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
