Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Simon Kolling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dom Madden!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolling keeps the fight on the outside.
Madden fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Madden shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kolling as he avoids it easily.
Kolling looks to land a combination. Madden sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Madden closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kolling circles away.
Simon Kolling has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dom Madden.
Madden misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kolling throws a left that rocks Madden and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kolling dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Madden regain composure!
Madden is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Madden throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Madden is still in real trouble! Can Kolling finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kolling has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Kolling jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Madden seems to have recovered his senses.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Kolling has cracked Madden with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Kolling lands another huge swinging hook and Madden tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Madden, before Kolling can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Simon Kolling!
