Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Fort Minor - Petrified (Gracie Remix). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Christopher Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Jin Kazama!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Kazama.

Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Gracie swings around for an armbar but Kazama sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gracie's guard.
Gracie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kazama is one step ahead there.

Kazama thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kazama wants to stand but Gracie has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Gracie doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Gracie has a closed guard, preventing Kazama from standing up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.
Gracie lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Gracie throws a big right hand that misses.
Kazama wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Gracie with a flurry of punches that miss.
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gracie chips away with some ground and pound.
Gracie throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Kazama slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kazama wanted to stand there but Gracie had control of the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kazama must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gracie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gracie, not yet.
Gracie striking off his back but it's not causing Kazama any problems.
Kazama wanted to stand there but Gracie had control of the position.
Gracie tries to strike from the bottom.
Kazama wants to stand but Gracie has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kazama fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kazama uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gracie.
Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Kazama.

Gracie gets the takedown into side control.

Gracie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kazama is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gracie in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Gracie working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gracie postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The ground and pound from Gracie seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Kazama dodges the ground and pound from Gracie.
Gracie moves into full mount!
Gracie throwing strikes here but Kazama is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gracie misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christopher Gracie dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Gracie throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Kazama tries to work over Gracie's front leg with a kick but Gracie checks it.
Kazama misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kazama pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gracie sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Kazama takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Gracie misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kazama.
Kazama throws a wild body kick that Gracie sees coming a mile off.
Kazama tries to clinch up but Gracie circles away and keeps his distance.
Gracie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gracie dodges the punch combination from Kazama.

Gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kazama dodges the ground and pound from Gracie.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kazama is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Gracie is controlling him well.

Gracie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kazama has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gracie but great work by Kazama.
Kazama tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Gracie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Gracie is pressing down on Kazama's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Kazama is breathing heavily.
Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kazama manages to get himself to full guard.
Gracie distracts Kazama with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kazama is keeping the position for now.
Gracie makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Gracie throws and elbow that misses. Kazama uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gracie's guard. Nice move by Kazama!
Kazama is looking to stand up but Gracie won't let him.

Gracie is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kazama has his hands clasped together but Gracie extends an breaks Kazama's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gracie.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Christopher Gracie!
