Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mirror (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Lindsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lindsey has chosen Californication - RHCP as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Daniel Lindsey acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Mirror!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Lindsey!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mirror throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lindsey tries a head kick but it misses.

Lindsey clinches up with Mirror and pushes him back against the cage.

Lindsey manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - Lindsey finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Lindsey with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Mirror avoids the head kick by Lindsey.
Lindsey is looking to slow Mirror down with leg kicks.
A solid body kick from Lindsey.
Mirror is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lindsey cracks the inside of Mirror's front leg.
Horrible takedown by Mirror or perhaps it was just good defense by Lindsey which made him look bad.
Lindsey throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mirror's head.
Mirror steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lindsey.

Lindsey moves into range and clinches up with Mirror.
Mirror is trying to drag Lindsey to the mat but Lindsey just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Mirror looking for a takedown.

Lindsey manages to break the clinch.
Lindsey pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Lindsey tries to clinch there but Mirror circles away.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lindsey.
Lindsey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Lindsey has managed to clinch.

Lindsey has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mirror regains guard immediately.
Lindseyis looking to pass into half guard but Mirror pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Mirror is in guard.
Mirror tries to free his leg and advance position but Lindsey is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lindsey has his foot on Mirror's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mirror works his way back into a safe position though.
Lindsey keeping moving, preventing Mirror from controlling successfully.
Lindsey is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Mirror trying to control the position from guard on top but Lindsey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mirror trying to control but Lindsey is working from the bottom.
Lindsey looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lindsey is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mirror shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lindsey sprawls well. Lindsey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mirror gets slowly back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mirror takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Lindsey dominated that round.
That's time! Mirror's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Mirror gets caught flat footed, as Lindsey shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lindsey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mirror swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lindsey has gone for a leg lock! Mirror slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lindsey's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mirror trying to control the position from guard on top but Lindsey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lindsey has his hands on Mirror's head, controlling the position.

Mirror stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lindsey swivels though and keeps the full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lindsey not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Mirror slips nicely into half guard.
Mirror wants to pass to mount but Lindsey is defending the position.

Mirror stops Lindsey from getting back to his feet.

Lindsey manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Lindsey is looking for a kimura but Mirror is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lindsey to get the leverage.

Mirror wants to control but Lindsey is keeping busy.

Lindsey is working for a kimura but Mirror is defending it quite comfortably.

Lindsey escapes and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Lindsey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Lindsey moves out of range of the body kick.

Mirror misses with a body kick.
Lindsey buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Daniel Lindsey seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Lindsey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Lindsey has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mirror is proving hard to escape from.
Lindsey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mirror swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lindsey drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mirror looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mirror looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mirror!

Mirror wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lindsey, who protects the arm well.
Lindsey tries to improve position but can't.
Lindsey regains half guard there - taking advantage of Mirror's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mirror is stalling here. Lindsey is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Mirror seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lindsey has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Lindsey is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mirror knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Lindsey takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lindsey tries for a kimura but Mirror is defending well.

Lindsey thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Lindsey is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mirror has escaped the position, nice work there.
Daniel Lindsey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lindsey has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Lindsey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Frank Mirror has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lindsey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lindsey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Daniel Lindsey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lindsey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
