Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack LeBalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Chuck Smith enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack LeBalls!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Smith!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith forces LeBalls back against the cage and clinches.
Smith wants to stall.
LeBalls wants to get back to striking at distance but Smith won't allow it.

LeBalls has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Smith clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

LeBalls looking for the RNC.
LeBalls is throwing strikes by Smith counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Smith regains half guard.
Smith wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
LeBalls stalling.

LeBalls seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Smith for as long as he can get away with.
LeBalls looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Smith trying to control from the bottom.
Smith tries to kick LeBalls off but LeBalls keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Smith drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

LeBalls pulls Smith in close to prevent any damage.
Smith slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from LeBalls.
LeBalls tries to roll over but Smith keeps him under control.

Smith is trying to control the action in half guard but LeBalls is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
LeBalls has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smith is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

LeBalls changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smith looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
LeBalls postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
LeBalls wants to control but Smith is keeping him busy.
LeBalls misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

LeBalls wants to take a breather but Smith manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for LeBalls.
Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet.
Smith wants to control the position but LeBalls says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Smith avoiding damage under a succession of punches from LeBalls.
LeBalls looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
LeBalls drops an elbow to the side of Smith's head.
Smith looks gassed!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with LeBalls in particular looking to stall.
LeBalls has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Smith is refusing to be controlled, as LeBalls sits in half guard.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jack LeBalls just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Smith counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smith.

LeBalls thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. LeBalls swivels though and keeps the full guard.

LeBalls has his hands on Smith's head, controlling the position.
LeBalls manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Smith manages to get himself to full guard.
LeBalls wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.

LeBalls avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Smith is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
LeBalls has a hand on Smith's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Smith takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
