Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pen Kli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pol Rawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pol Rawn has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Pen Kli's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pen Kli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pol Rawn!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rawn scores with a takedown into Kli's guard.
Kli trying to control the position.

Kli looking for a sweep. Not yet Kli, not yet.
Kli knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rawn on the ground.
Kli is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rawn is controlling him.
Rawn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rawn gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Kli tries for a takedown but Rawn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rawn moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.


It looks like Pol Rawn has been cut.

Rawn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rawn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
BOOM! Rawn connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Rawn with shots to the head and body - Kli looks very uncomfortable down there.
Kli is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Rawn stands up from mount. Strange move.
Kli tries to clinch but Rawn moves out of range.
Kli fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kli drives through and clinches with Rawn against the cage.

Kli is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rawn is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kli to the mat. Kli regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Rawn scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Rawn stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Rawn gets a takedown into half guard.
Kli is breathing heavily.

Rawn is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kli doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rawn.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kli tries to kick Rawn off but Rawn keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Kli missing with punches from the bottom.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kli pushes Rawn off looking to stand but Rawn dives back in and keeps control.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rawn in particular looking to stall.
Rawn works his way into full mount!
Kli can't escape the position.

BOOM! Rawn connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Rawn controlling the pace for now.

Rawn looking to secure an arm triangle but Kli defends it well.
Kli is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Rawn controlling from mount.
Kli is trying to stand.

Rawn takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rawn prevents Kli from getting the reversal.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
You get the feeling that Kli really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Kli is wriggling around trying to escape.

Kli has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Rawn lands an elbow to the side of the head.
What can Kli do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
I really don't envy Kli right now.
Rawn lands strikes to the head.
Rawn lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Rawn.

Kli is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Rawn decides to stand back up.

Rawn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rawn slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Kli wants to stand up but Rawn is controlling him.

Rawn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rawn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kli is looking to stand up but Rawn isn't so interested in that idea.
Rawn is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Rawn decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Rawn clinches up with Kli and pushes him back against the cage.

Kli breaks the clinch.
Kli tries to clinch there but Rawn circles away.

Rawn darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kli looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rawn is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Rawn seems to be working for a kimura but Kli defends the submission attempt.
Kli wants to improve his position but Rawn is controlling well.

and Rawn counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Rawn has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Rawn not doing much here.
Kli is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Rawn is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kli is trying to stand up here but Rawn is controlling him well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pol Rawn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Kli shoots in but Rawn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kli tries to clinch there but Rawn circles away.

Rawn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rawn controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Kli is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rawn gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Rawn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rawn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kli shoots in and drives through. Rawn sprawls well.

Kli is looking to escape.
Kli wants to improve his position but Rawn is controlling well.
Kli throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Rawn manages to pass to side control.
Kli tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Pen Kli has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Rawn lands shots from the back.

Rawn is working for a rear naked choke. Kli is not defending it well and Rawn has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Kli refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Kli's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Pol Rawn!
