And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bernard Freeley!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams fails with a takedown attempt.
Freeley tries to clinch up but Williams circles away and keeps his distance.
Freeley misses with a takedown

and Williams counters with a takedown into side control.
Freeley defending against the ground and pound.
Freeley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Williams is trying to get an arm triangle but Freeley is defending well.
Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Freeley keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Freeley is not content to let Williams control the position.
Freeley gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Williams goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Freeley turns into him and now he's in Williams's guard.
Williams doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Freeley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Freeley trying to stand up but can't free himself from Williams's guard.
Williams can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Freeley controls the pace.

Freeley gets to his feet. Williams looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Williams doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Freeley counters with a left and a right that stings Williams.
Williams gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Freeley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyler Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Freeley tries to stand and escape but Williams is controlling the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Williams manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Freeley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Williams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Freeley has managed to get both his arms back between Williams's legs - danger averted.
Freeley wanted to stand there but Williams had control of the position.
Freeley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Williams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Freeley defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williams is breathing heavily.

Williams has his foot on Freeley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Freeley works his way back into a safe position though.
Freeley wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Williams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Freeley defends well.
Freeley wants to get up but he can't break Williams's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freeley throws a head kick that misses.
Freeley lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Williams gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Freeley counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Freeley.

Williams is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Freeley frees his head nicely. Oh but Williams has switched to an armbar! Freeley is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
