The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Bergeron misses.

Petrov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bergeron napping and manages to drive through into side control!

A lull in the action here as Petrov stalls from top position.
Petrov works to advance to full mount. Bergeron defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Petrov has hold of Bergeron's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bergeron manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Petrov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bergeron is wriggling around trying to escape.
Petrov wants to take Bergeron's back but he can't do it this time.
Bergeron tries to lock up and control but Petrov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bergeron is rocked!
Petrov postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Bergeron in real trouble here! The ref calls for Bergeron to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
