Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between brian tomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bob bobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). brian tomas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, bob bobson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

bobson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches tomas napping and manages to drive through into side control!
tomas is trying to buck bobson off.
bobson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

bobson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
bobson laying and praying for a moment but tomas takes advantage and regains half guard.
tomas is trying to control but bobson passes into side control!

That's one minute gone in the round.
tomas is trying to control bobson's posture but bobson avoids it.

bobson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by tomas, who protects the arm well.
bobson misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

bobson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, tomas has escaped the position, nice work there.
bobson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

bobson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but tomas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
bobson passes to full mount! That's big trouble for tomas!
tomas really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
bobson wants to control the pace but tomas is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

bobson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
tomas is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

bobson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and tomas is now in bobson's guard. A big mistake from bobson there, giving up the dominant position!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
bobson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
tomas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
tomas slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
bobson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
bobson is pressing down on tomas's thigh, looking to free his foot. tomas is holding on for now.
tomas is staying active underneath bobson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

bobson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
bobson is trying to control the action in half guard but tomas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

bob bobson dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

tomas lands a left and a right that send bobson crashing to the mat, dazed. tomas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like bob bobson has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
tomas cracks bobson with a hook to the temple - bobson is on wobbly legs here! tomas swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! bobson falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! tomas wins by TKO!
