Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mariusz Pudzianowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brendan Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solomon keeps the fight on the outside.
Pudzianowski looks to land a combination but Solomon avoids it well.
Pudzianowski tries to bum rush Solomon with a series of wild strikes but Solomon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pudzianowski shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Pudzianowski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Solomon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pudzianowski.

Pudzianowski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Solomon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Pudzianowski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Solomon is just riding it out for now. Pudzianowski eventually gives up the hold.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Solomon misses with a series of wild punches.
Solomon bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Pudzianowski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Solomon but Solomon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pudzianowski drops back looking for a leg! Solomon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Solomon manages to kick Pudzianowski off! Pudzianowski jumps back into Solomon's guard.

Solomon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pudzianowski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Solomon wants to escape the position.

Solomon defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Pudzianowski's arms.

Pudzianowski is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Solomon is defending well though. Pudzianowski let's go of the attempt for now.

Solomon moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Pudzianowski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Solomon has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Brendan Solomon has been cut.

Pudzianowski closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Solomon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pudzianowski.
Pudzianowski is working for takedown but Solomon is calmly controlling the position for now.

Pudzianowski gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Solomon regains guard.
