The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smythe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Alexander sprawls well. Alexander wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smythe gets slowly back to his feet.
Smythe fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Smythe feints and as Alexander raises his hands in defense, Smythe changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Alexander is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Alexander wants to sweep but no luck.
Alexander pulls Smythe in close to his closed guard and prevents Smythe from doing any damage or advancing position.

Smythe shoots in for a takedown but Alexander shows good takedown defense.
Alexander connects with a looping right hand.
Smythe takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Alexander lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Smythe can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Alexander and Smythe drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Alexander.
