The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atwood displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Yeerum.
Some wild striking there from Atwood.
Atwood scores with a three punch combo!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yeerum.
Yeerum tries to clinch but Atwood is having none of it.
Atwood does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Yeerum lands with a hook. Atwood tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Yeerum closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Yeerum tries for a kimura but Atwood is defending well.

Yeerum is trying to get an arm triangle but Atwood is defending well.
Yeerum throwing strikes but Atwood manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Yeerum closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Atwood to the mat! Atwood manages to get full guard.

Yeerum drops back, looking for a kneebar! Atwood looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Atwood looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Atwood!

Yeerum has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Atwood. Oh but Yeerum has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Atwood goes limp - he's gone! Yeerum jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
