Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edgar comes to the cage accompanied by Rick Ross- The Boss. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anderson Edgar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Aoki!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar is looking to land body kicks.
Aoki fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Edgar sprawls well initially but Aoki persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Edgar gets back to full guard.
Aoki loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Edgar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aoki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aoki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Edgar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Aoki is aware though and is defending well.

Edgar had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Aoki defends it easily.

Edgar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Aoki distracts Edgar with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aoki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Aoki won't allow Edgar to get back to his feet.

Aoki not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Aoki postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Aoki decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A head kick misses from Aoki.
Anderson Edgar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Edgar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Edgar has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Aoki doesn't defend quickly enough and Edgar has managed to lock this one up! Can Aoki escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Edgar on a fantastic submission victory.
